Hello friends,
For many months, you’ve joined me at The Writers Café—sharing stories, reflections, travel adventures, books, and the many unexpected turns that life brings.
Today, I’d love to invite you to a new space I’ve created called The Second Table.
As we move through the second half of life, the conversations often become richer. We carry more experience, ask different questions, and find ourselves reflecting on what truly matters. The Second Table is a place for those conversations—through personal essays, reflections, and shared stories about aging, creativity, relationships, purpose, and living well.
I’ve just published the very first article, and I’d be delighted if you’d join me there.
Here we will gather around conversations about healing and recovery, relationships and connection, travel and adventure, fitness and wellbeing, resilience and reinvention, and how we can continue to grow, flourish and age well through every season of life.
And don't worry—The Writers Café will still be open each month. I'll continue sharing the stories, adventures, writing projects, and life updates you've always enjoyed there. The Second Table sits alongside it, offering a more focused conversation about living well, finding purpose, navigating change, and making the most of the years ahead.
I hope you’ll pull up a chair and join me at The Second Table.

Secrets in the Lakes is a compelling blend of romantic suspense, women’s fiction, and psychological mystery. It captures the intimacy of small-town life, the thrill of a twisting investigation, and the heartbreak of second chances. Themes of grief, guilt, redemption, and the courage to love again pulse beneath every page.
Perfect for readers who love Diane Chamberlain, Jodi Picoult, or Liane Moriarty, this story delivers all the tension of a domestic thriller with the heart of a small-town romance. It’s a gripping exploration of trust, forgiveness, and what happens when loyalty collides with truth.
Shorter Than a Coffee Break is a beautifully crafted collection of short stories and drabbles (100-word flash fiction pieces) written by Danish-Australian author Sal Gallaher. Each story began with a single word and grew into a moment of truth, a flicker of emotion, or a twist of fate. These stories capture the full spectrum of life: its humour, heartbreak, resilience, and hope.
